Carrie Peters is a 40-year-old woman who is struggling with guilt and secrets. She and her ex-boyfriend made a mistake that resulted in the deaths of their high school friends. Carrie has returned to her hometown of Sleepy Hollow after her parents died, and she is haunted by the past. Her best friend, a homicide detective, is concerned about her erratic behavior. Carrie has no one to turn to except her ex-boyfriend, but she finds it too painful to connect with him. She needs to deal with her guilt, but to do so she may have to confess her part in the incident and risk her freedom.
